  In 1987, Minas turned vision into reality with Astra — an iconic bar on the island of Mykonos that transcends nightlife to become a living artwork. Conceived as a public space that merged his design philosophy with Greek spirit, Astra remains a timeless destination, untouched by trends and unchanged since the day it opened.

  More than a bar, Astra is an immersive experience shaped entirely by Minas — from architectural lines to celestial ceiling. Every element was designed with intention, from its proportions and materials to the way light, sound, and people move through it.

  At the heart of Astra is its roof: a faithful, hand-crafted replica of the northern hemisphere’s night sky, embedded with over 2,500 fiber-optic lights. These stars do not merely twinkle — they pulse to the rhythm of the music, creating a living constellation above the crowd. It is a design feat that took months to complete and remains unparalleled anywhere in the world.

  The building seamlessly blends into the Mykonian landscape, echoing both ancient restraint and modern energy. Inside, a commanding image of Apollo watches over the space — a tribute to nearby Delos, his mythic birthplace and the eternal source of light, music, and beauty.

  For decades, Astra has welcomed the world’s greatest artists, thinkers, and revelers. It is not just one of Mykonos’ longest-standing venues — it is one of its most defining.

the trolley was handmade to the smallest detail, combining smart stainless steel, American walnut, carbon fiber and aluminum.

  • Custom made Carbon fiber panels where used for the serving surfaces. Carbon fiber provides an imposing presence for the presentation as well as exemplary resilience.
  • Handmade and shaped American walnut is used for all the finishes and the handle. The walnut was handcrafted by Mina himself to perfectly match the lines of the design.
  • The wheels where custom milled from stainless steel and a unique neoprene tire was manufactured in Germany to withstand time.
  • All screws are hand milled for the trolley specifically.
  • The production of this master piece lasted six months.
